Giles has held a training licence since 2005. He has been involved with thoroughbred racehorses since childhood and rode successfully as an amateur jockey for a number of years. Prior to taking out a full licence, Giles and Kim enjoyed a highly successful spell training point-to-pointers with over 100 winners in the ten years to 2005.
Away from the horses Giles is an avid sportsman and fan, enjoying anything competitive, particularly cricket.
Kim also has a lifetime of experience with horses and now combines her role of Assistant Trainer with running her own highly successful point to point yard. A number of Kim's horses graduate from pointing into the main yard, and we find this an invaluable grounding. Prior to coming into racing Kim had an eventing background.
Kim is our in-house horse whisperer, paying great attention to the horses mental wellbeing, as well as their physical soundness. She can often be found massaging a horse's aching muscles in the quiet of an afternnoon.
Katie has worked in a number of top yards prior to joining us as head girl. She started at Martin Pipe and moved onto Jonjo O'Neill, before a stint with Robin Dickin. Katie is well qualified, having a degree in Sports Science from Aberystwyth University. She takes great prides in the horses appearance at the races, regularly winning best turned-out awards.
Dave is a well established jockey, who has been based for most of his career at the powerful Nigel Twiston Davies yard and now rides freelance for a number of others trainers including Pam Sly and Shaun Lycett. As a young conditional Dave rode Gold Cup winner Imperial Commander to his debut bumper win.
